Food sorting and
packing.
Groups and individuals work together to sort and/or pack produce, nonperishable foods, and household items, preparing them for distribution. Duties may include checking for expiration dates, opened packages and spoilage, labeling cans, packing bags of food and household items.

Dress code:
Due to safety concerns all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and clothes appropriate to work in a warehouse environment
Mid-Ohio Market at Gantz Road.
Groups and individuals work together to welcome and check in shoppers, stock shelves, move carts, check out customers, and help shoppers load groceries into their vehicles upon request. Most work at this site is indoors with some outdoor tasks needed over the course of the shift.

Mid-Ohio Farm
and Gardens.
Groups and individuals work together to help seed in the greenhouse, harvest, water, plant, plant in our vertical towers, weed, etc.
Where:
Mid-Ohio Farm – Grove City & Hilltop
Age requirement:
Ages 13 and older (5-12 with parental supervision)
Dress code:
Due to safety concerns all volunteers must wear close-toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and clothes appropriate to work in an outdoor setting. Rain or shine, please bring appropriate weather gear.
Should the weather not be ideal, we will contact by phone and e-mail as soon as we can. If the weather is looking iffy, check your e-mail to see if you’ve received a notice.
Kid’s Café
Meal Prep.
Groups and individuals work together to prepare meals and snacks for our after school programs (and summer feeding in summer months). Duties include, prep cooking, portioning meals, light cooking, and minor cleaning duties.

Mid-Ohio Kitchen – Grove City
Age requirement:
Ages 16 and older (13-15 with parental supervision)
Dress code:

Mid-Ohio Kitchen at Reeb.
Groups and individuals work together to prepare meals and snacks for our after school programs (and summer feeding in summer months). Duties include, prep cooking, portioning meals, light cooking, and minor cleaning duties.

Mid-Ohio Markets combine food access with wrap around services. Volunteer activities may vary from location to location.
