With All-American and OSU football safety Caleb Downs on our team, MOFC hit our goal of 1 million holiday meals raised for families in central and eastern Ohio. Generous donors from our annual workplace giving campaign also contributed to the cause.

“It’s incredible to see how much the community stepped up for the Holiday Meals campaign,” Caleb said. “I’m grateful to have been a part of it.”

Caleb is one of college football’s top defensive players. Lately, he’s been tackling hunger with his family’s Trust Downs Foundation. His work with MOFC helped score him the 2025 Lott IMPACT Trophy, a national award based on both on-field and off-field performance.

With the help of Caleb, the Trust Downs Foundation, and Vium Capital, MOFC raffled off four tickets to the Ohio State vs. Rutgers game on November 22, complete with signed memorabilia and a meet-and-greet with Caleb. The raffle itself raised over 65,000 meals. The winner, Brianna Allman, traveled all the way from Arkansas to watch the game.

On November 24, Caleb helped hand out over 100 turkeys at the Mid-Ohio Market at Gantz Road. It was a welcome surprise for customers. He signed autographs and took pictures with fans, too. For Caleb, it was all about giving back however he could.

“Be the hand to somebody who’s reaching out for help,” Caleb said. “The biggest impact you can make is where your feet are—what you can do with the power of today.”
