About the Customer Advisory Council

The Customer Advisory Council brings together individuals with lived experience of food insecurity to share insights, ideas, and feedback. Members work directly with MOFC, sharing their thoughts, ideas, and suggestions to help us design programs and services that truly meet the needs of our neighbors.

Who can join?

  • Residency: Must be a resident of Ohio, 18 years or older, living within MOFC’s 20-county service area.
  • Participation: Willing to share insights and actively participate in group activities.
  • Conduct: Be respectful, participatory, and welcoming to diverse life experiences and opinions.
  • Compensation: If opting for monetary compensation, agree to complete a W-9 form with valid details.

What to Expect

  • Term: Each inaugural council is an 11-month commitment, dedicating up to 4 hours per month to council work.
  • Meetings: Monthly sessions and individual appointments with the MOFC Council Organizer, virtual and in-person options. A minimum of 75% attendance is required.
  • Engagement: Provide input on MOFC services, advocate for community needs, and identify opportunities for improvement with MOFC team members.
