a difference.

We’re encouraged that more of you, our neighbors, are choosing to lend time, give food and give funds. We have so many opportunities where you can bring your support to the table.

Come volunteer with us.

Volunteers are essential to the mission of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. There are countless ways you can make a difference—from sorting and packing groceries, to helping our Kitchen chefs, to getting out and planting seeds in the dirt (or in a cool hydroponic garden) at our Farm.

Groups of all sizes make a big impact.

We have many great ways to get company groups involved. You can help by filling whole shifts for the Mid-Ohio Food Collective. And your team will get so much out of serving and giving back together.

I’d prefer to come every week day, if you’ll have me. I want to help where I can, even if I am 80 years old.

Give food.

Donations of food from grocers, food distributors, farmers, and the community provide a much-needed supplement to the food we get from government agencies. You can help by donating nonperishable foods and fresh produce.

Boost your efforts. Hold a food or funds drive and do more to help our friends and neighbors as a group.

Be a part of the solution.

Advocacy is essential in helping us advance our mission to ensure that no one goes hungry. We believe it’s not acceptable for thousands of our neighbors—most of them children and seniors—to go hungry. That’s why we advocate for big-picture solutions to help meet their basic food and nutrition needs. Contact an elected official to discuss the importance of emergency food in our community.

It’s not my day to eat. We have a large family and with the money my parents make, we each take one day a week to not eat so there is enough for everyone.
